It's crazy that it's already April. I swear that it was only the end of January the other day. Time flies when you're living life! Time also flies when you're not, so live it up as much as possible (i.e. all the time!).
If you didn't already know via Facebook, I was in Pemberton over the past weekend. It was wonderful.
Ultimately I was there to second shoot a wedding with Angela (the amazingly awesome lady I second shoot/assist for), which funnily enough turned out the be the wedding of my friend's brother; it also happened to be my birthday too. Wins all round I say!
To sum up our time spent in Pemberton: the wedding was stunning - they got married on the back of a old red truck, in a barn. Hello, Ah-mazing! The weather thankfully cleared up for the afternoon (the morning was as if winter hit instantly, Autumn where were you?), and we ended the night with a delicious dinner complimented with french bubbles to celebrate little me turning another year older. Conclusion is that I have a pretty sweet boss and am very blessed to be able to do what I am passionate about and love :)
For the time there, home away from home was Foragers.
Where do I start with this place, it was gorgeous. At one point I felt like I was in a Beatrix Potter story a little bit. Chickens, ducks and a rabbit. The property also has a orchard, kitchen garden and restaurant named the 'Field Kitchen'. Oh, and a whole bunch of piggies! Oink oink!
If you're looking for a place to stay in Pemberton, I recommend this place; the accommodation is pretty swell with the views and tranquility to make your city heart yearn for the countryside!
My heart is definitely yearning to still be in the country! One day I'll get my dream ;)
